港珠澳大桥东西人工岛8联动液压振动锤售后服务根据协议，APE（美国桩基设备有限公司）必须派驻设备技术人员在施工现场为APE600型8联动液压振动锤提供全程售后服务，具体工作由APE中国分公司——上海振力工程机械设备有限公司完成。虽然在设计之初，APE的设计工程师利用电脑软件对设备的整体受力情况进行了详细的模拟实验，从理论上确保了各受力结构的可靠性，但是模拟无法全面反映设备在施工现场的真实情况，所以，这次售后服务的难点与重点就是如何面对施工中的突发情况 。APE的技术人员参与了施工方－－中交一航局的施工研讨会，协助施工方制定了详细的施工计划，以确保设备的施工安全。2011年5月15日开始第一根大圆管桩的下沉。APE一行四人在现场服务：Jerry Cors－－总部生产经理、David White－－中国分公司（上海振力）经理、杨运福－－工程师、胡一丹－－技术员。第一根桩的下沉非常顺利，停机后技术人员对设备的夹具、振动锤体、联动装置、液力传动装置、动力柜及控制系统进行了全面、细致的检查和测试，各种数据表明一切正常。通过第一根桩的下沉，为后面的施工积累了经验。在后来的施工中，APE的服务人员坚守在施工现场，与施工方的技术人员克服了种种生活与工作中的困难，保证了施工的顺利进行，没有因为设备的原因耽误一天工期。至2011年12月25日，中交一航局完成了所有120根大圆管桩的全部下沉施工任务，APE的两名售后服务人员全程跟踪服务多次获得施工现场领导口头和书面的肯定与表扬。与此同时，中交一航局租赁的APE200-6两台联动振动锤也顺利完成了240片的副格下沉任务。(3/1/2012)

APE successfully drives the final wing-walls for the two man-made islands part of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge project. APE designed a special tandem APE 200-6 system to drive 37-foot (11m) wide sheet piles. This is the first time wing walls for a cofferdam have ever been driven in this way. In total, 240 wing walls were driven over the last 8 months. Each wing wall was 130 feet tall (40m), 37 foot wide (11m), and 44 tons (40 tones) in weight. It took about 10-20 minutes to drive each pile to grade. We hope more cofferdam projects around the world will use this method to save many months of time on their next projects. APE's OctaKong hammer successfully completes both man-made islands for the HongKong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. CCTV news and many top engineers of China came to celebrate the final pile being driven in the ground for the main wall of the two islands. Never before in history has such large piles been driven into the ground making this truly an amazing project done by the Chinese government. APE is very thankful to have been allowed to work on such a prestigious project and we look forward for the next challenge. Thank you everyone who helped make this project a cooperation success story.

APE sells another model 200 for use on Dr. Xie's barrel pile template piles. Two piles are driven in the ground at once, one on the inside and one on the outside, in-between a concrete shoe is used to plug the center. The shoe blocks the soil from entering the space in-between the two piles. After the pile is driven to grade a steel rebar cage is lowered down inside followed by concrete. After the concrete fills the pile it is then vibrated back out while still wet creating a concrete pile in the ground which will dry over the next few days. The model 200 allows contractors to drive faster and deeper into the ground using less weight on the crane. It typically takes about 40 minutes per pile from beginning to end. This unit will be used near Zhuhai for high-speed highway projects underway. For more information on this technology please contact us at anytime.

The worlds largest vibratory pile driver is now complete. I want to send a personal thank you to everybody who helped make the Octakong a reality. From the engineering, machining, fabrication, purchasing, assembly, testing, packing, shipping, and re-assembly in China. All of APE China thanks you! I know that many of you worked many long hours to make the Octakong come to life and I want to let you know that you should be proud. I am proud of APE and all of our vendors for working so hard with us. First Harbor Marine Group of China, which is the largest marine based construction group in China, was very impressed with APE’s quality, professionalism, and speed in which we made these 8 hammers. With Chuck, Daniel, Jerry, Pavel, Mike, Yang, Steven and myself along side a team of 50 people were able to assemble the Octakong in 12 days. Also, APE China gave major support from technology review to assembly. This was no easy task and the eyes of the pile driving world are upon us as we now await to drive our first test pile on May 15th 2011. If the 72 foot diameter (22 meter) pile can be driven successfully, then it will change the way many other projects around the world can be done.

APE Zhenli's model 200 successfully drove 20 piles for an oil platform on the BoHai Sea for the oil industry. This marks a huge accomplishment for APE since oil companies only buy the best equipment due to high cost of down time. We are very happy to see our Model 200 hammer been used so successfully!
